Charleston-native Kaitlyn first met George in November 2016 at the Blind Tiger Pub downtown and dated for four years, enjoying trips abroad, good food and wine, and Christmas visits to New York, where George used to live. During what Kaitlyn expected to be a ordinary weekend getaway, George proposed outside of the Cassique Clubhouse on Kiawah Island. The wedding took place on a sunny spring day on the shrimp dock at Bowen’s Island Restaurant, with a close friend officiating.
