Gil followed Katie on Twitter after a mutual friend told him to check out her hilarious profile. The two flirted for weeks before meeting in person and eventually began dating. Seven years later, the couple went skydiving for Katie’s birthday, and moments before jumping out of the plane, Gil proposed. Their boho-chic wedding and reception at the Founders Hall featured velvet VIP seating for the first row and a donut bar for guests. They honeymooned in Mexico and now live in Charleston.
