Katie Cunningham & John Tashjian

November 17, 2018
Katie and John first met in New York City when she attended a celebration for an Armenian college student internship program, of which he was a graduate. From there, they would see each other in Kentucky at Derby parties, and in New York amid her back-and-forth moves from the South (she’s from Beaufort, South Carolina) to the North (his longtime stomping grounds). After one such move (she cops to four relocations away from and back to the Big Apple) and a new set of farewell parties, they connected yet again, kicking off a long-distance relationship that led to a proposal at the Tidalholm mansion in Beaufort. (The couple bought and rehabilitated the storied property after a trip to the bride’s hometown.) They invited friends and family to celebrate their wedding on the grounds of the antebellum estate. See more of their wedding on our blog, The Wedding Row.
