Bumble couple Mallory and Brian’s first in-person encounter started at Home Team Barbecue and wrapped with drinks on King Street. After two-and-a-half years of dating, they were hiking to a waterfall on Lake Keowee in upstate South Carolina when Brian took a gamble on a rainy forecast and delivered a perfect proposal in the fresh (and dry) mountain air. The couple later exchanged vows at The William Aiken House downtown on another day that called for storms. The predicted downpour hit 10 minutes before the festivities ended. “It almost felt like the rain was just waiting for our big day to conclude,” says Mallory.
