After sharing a first date at Leon’s Oyster Shop, Maria and Jackson became inseparable, bonding over boating, fishing, hunting, and tennis. In February 2022, Jackson asked Maria to marry him during his family’s annual ski trip to Big Sky, Montana. Their ceremony took place outside at Caledonia Golf & Fish Club in Pawleys Island, while the azaleas were in full bloom. Following post-reception sliders and fries, Maria and Jackson, who live on James Island with their English cocker spaniel, departed through a sea of rose petals before hopping into a vintage lavender Cadillac convertible.
