While living and teaching in Minnesota, Meghan was introduced to Mark by a parent of one of her students. Three months into dating, Meghan moved back home to Charleston, where her family has lived since 2006, and Mark followed shortly afterward. Years later, while on their Sunday morning walk along the beach of Sullivan’s Island, Mark got down on one knee and proposed to Meghan at Station 28. The two were wed at Cannon Green on a rainy day, with the sun peeking out just in time for Meghan and Mark to say, “I do.”
