Matthew Mansfield & Jacqueline Zeron

September 21, 2018
Though they both grew up in tiny Southport, North Carolina, Matthew and Jacqueline only met when they were in their twenties. Says the bride of bumping into him at a bar one night, “He just grabbed my hand and started dancing with me.” She gave him her number, they went out proper, and a year later, in a hot-air balloon over Paris, Matthew proposed. A week before their wedding at Boone Hall Plantation, Hurricane Florence hit their hometown and they struggled to evacuate to Charleston. Over the following days, friends and family slowly followed and the Big Day went off without any other snags. Matthew, who owns Mansfield Heating & Air and Bald Head Island Heating & Air, and Jacqueline, who works at Duke Energy, honeymooned in St. Lucia.
