Molly and Christopher’s (Chris) JPMorgan Chase & Co. coworkers were determined to set them up. Sparks flew, and for the first two weeks after being introduced, they went on a date every night. Six months in, the New Yorkers found themselves in Paris and full-fledged in love. Two years later, Molly had flown to Charleston to visit her mother for an early Christmas. While they took in the sights, Chris was working in the Big Apple—or so Molly thought. When she was touring Boone Hall Plantation and he stepped out from behind an oak tree, she was shocked. “It wasn’t until he whispered, ‘Do you know what’s happening?’ that it all finally clicked,” Molly says. (For those slow to catch on, he got down on one knee and asked her to marry him.) They invited their nearest and dearest to the Governor Thomas Bennett House downtown to watch as they traded vows in its quaint garden. Afterward, one and all dined and danced under the stars. The jet-setters spent one week of their honeymoon adventuring on a Tanzanian safari and another relaxing in the Maldives.
