Morgan, a Holy City native, was introduced to Blake at Mallard Ball, a sorority function at the University of South Carolina, while the two were students. They reconnected years later and went to a USC basketball game for their first date. Five years later, Blake surprised Morgan with tickets to Salt Lake City. While there, he asked her to marry him against a snowy backdrop at the St. Regis hotel. Their wedding and reception were held at Morgan’s grandparents’ house in Awendaw, complete with music from local singer-songwriter Zach Bedell and a sparkler exit in a vintage Ford pickup.
