Self-proclaimed tree huggers Olivia and David met while working for the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources, bonding over a mutual love of wildlife preservation and yoga. It was during the couple’s 2023 summer solstice beach yoga class that David presented Olivia with a ring, asking her to marry him surrounded by family and friends. Exactly one year later, the Island House on the Stono River hosted the couple’s wedding ceremony, which was followed by a cocktail reception featuring local bands the Mud Minnows and Motown Throwdown and a moonlit exit by boat through the salt marsh.
