Tyler and Peyton’s modern love story began after matching on eHarmony in 2018, the pair dating long-distance and traveling from Peyton‘s home in Jacksonville to Tyler’s in Charleston. On one weekend visit, Tyler surprised Peyton with drive-in tickets to see The Notebook at The Bend—the same movie the pair had watched on their first date. Not even rain showers and pesky mosquitoes could ruin the romantic evening Tyler planned, and as the film ended, he slipped a ring from the center console of his truck and proposed. The pair were wed beneath the moss-draped oaks of the Legare Waring House in an intimate ceremony attended by immediate family.
