Sarah and Michael met at a Greek function while attending College of Charleston. After graduating in 2015, the couple dated long distance while Michael, who flies MH-60 Sierras in the Navy, moved to Rhode Island and later Florida for flight training and Sarah pursued a career as a physical therapist. In February of 2017, Sarah was visiting Michael in Pensacola when he suggested they take a walk on the beach. While the sun set over the Gulf, Michael got down on one knee and proposed. The couple married at Charleston’s Historic Rice Mill before moving to San Diego, California.
