As the COVID-19 pandemic spreads, the majority of us are anxious and overwhelmed. And when you’re engulfed in worry, you often dig further and further down that hole and forget to take in the beauty...
Susie and John, who both work in the civil engineering field, met at an industry conference in Virginia. At times they were competitors and others they were teammates, but ultimately they became soulmates. John proposed while they were on a boat ride in Bohicket Creek. In the midst of the pandemic and worried a ceremony might never take place, the couple were married at a courthouse in March. But by May, Charleston had opened up enough to allow them to host an intimate wedding at their Wadmalaw home, which was decorated by the Sweet Jessamine Flower Truck. As the night came to an end, they lit lanterns and floated them off their dock.
