Tami and James first crossed paths at popular Mount Pleasant eatery Kid Cashew one Friday night. Exactly one week later, they recognized each other at another restaurant, Tavern and Table, and a first date soon followed. When the pandemic forced the pair to cancel plans to vacation in Aruba for their one-year anniversary, they opted for a romantic dinner downtown and a stroll along the Battery. As the two approached the gazebo in White Point Garden, James asked Tami to marry him. The couple held a small ceremony on the terrace at Emeline hotel, followed by a reception in the greenhouse.
