Torrey Crawford & Ryan Knapp

May 19, 2018

After a few rescheduled blind dates, Torrey and Ryan met for drinks; drinks turned to dinner, dinner turned into after-dinner drinks, and two years later they had moved from Washington, D.C. to her native Charleston. Then one weekend Ryan suggested they go to her family’s country place on Edisto Island, where, under open skies, he asked her to be his wife. As soon as she said “Yes,” they were surrounded by friends and family who had been hiding in the nearby brush. The couple held a wedding at St. Philip’s Church with five flower girls and three ring bearers (or “flower children” as the couple called them). Harry, Meghan, and the Queen—via cutouts—attended the reception at Hibernian Hall, as the Knapps’ festivities concurred with those of the royals. See their wedding on our blog.
