Emily & Daniel | The Gadsden House

Trust us when we say that you won’t find a more low-key pair than these two. Nashville, Tennessee couple Emily and Daniel wanted an intimate, family-only wedding for their Big Day, and they chose to hold it in Charleston because of the city’s historic charm and propensity for good ol’ Southern hospitality. While the bride wanted the day to be “elegant, warm, and welcoming,” she says, she didn’t have any major plans in mind for décor. So she and Chauncey Finch from Bouquets and Bowties met up at EventWorks’ showroom where Emily picked out a few rental pieces she liked, and from there, she let her planner do the rest. The couple stuck strictly to their family-only decision, so much so that Emily’s brother-in-law (who set her up with Daniel in the first place) officiated. And as traditional as their ceremony was, we are nuts for where they took things with their Gadsden House reception. Their wedding cake: a Costco masterpiece, complete with “Kirkland Signature” (Costco’s brand name) written across the top in icing. And the best part: After dinner Emily and Daniel surprised everyone with a game of “Family Feud,” a host included. Survey says this was a night to remember.
