Lindsay & David | Legare Waring House

Cupid sure had his arrow locked and ready when Lindsay and David first met at SEWE the day before Valentine’s Day. Coincidence? We think not. Not only did they see each other almost every day the following week, but they now partake in the wildlife event every year to relive the memory of where they first laid eyes on each other (relationship goals!). Being an Athens, Georgia, native, Lindsay attended college at the University of Georgia and moved to Charleston in 2007 while David himself was living in Summerville, South Carolina. After dating for just over three years, David told a little fib about how they were going to take a boat ride to meet their friends for dinner. Spoiler alert: David had a ring and a romantic proposal planned instead. He asked Lindsay to go look in the front compartment for a scupper plug and next thing she knew, he was down on one knee asking her to marry him. He followed that up by a surprise Lowcountry boil with friends, family, and of course, champagne. Their Big Day at Legare Waring House was nothing short of special, including the blue satin and lace garter that her mom and sister both wore in their own weddings. OK, now our hearts are full. Wanting to tie in her new last name, Lindsay’s florist added a few darling berries into the reception’s floral arrangements and into her own stunning bouquet by Out of the Garden. How fitting! A buried upside-down bottle of bourbon, a few too many drinks for the best man (wink, wink) and some cornhole games later, these two Charlestonians embarked on a new adventure as hubby and wifey.
