The illusion trend (covering up decoletage and/or sleeves with tulle) has been around for a few seasons, but of late, designers getting dressy with the concept. Lace appliques are the latest innovation, as seen with these gowns. Even smarter in the case of this Anna Maier stunner? The lace covers a silk sheath in a flattering champagne hue, which makes the floral pattern stand out all the more.
