Spell It Out in Style | Welcome your guests to Charleston with panache

When your entire guest list—and we mean every last person—is coming from out of town, as a proper bride and groom, you’ve got to play bona fide host. Jackie Kershis and Chris Morse found themselves in that happy spot last summer when the Raleigh, North Carolina, residents prepped for their wedding at Lowndes Grove Planation. While Southern Protocol tackled the details of the wedding, the couple worked out an extensive stationery suite with Sarah Reed of Dodeline Design that included a save-the-date card, custom guide to Charleston, an invitation packet, welcome box label, program, menu, favor tag, “hangover” door marker, and thank-you note. Whew! They brought their palette of gold, blue, ivory, and pink to Sarah, who opted for sky blue to dominate the save-the-date and guide and to kick off the celebration with a “fun, coastal feel,” she says. The day-of materials, says Sarah, “were gold and ivory to mark the formality of the occasion.”
